The Association of British Airways Pensioners pays humble tribute to and gives thanks for the life of our late monarch. Her service to the nation is unparalleled. Many staff will have had contact with Her Majesty, either during her extensive world-wide travels, or on visits to Heathrow, Gatwick and BA’s headquarters at Waterside. We offer our heartfelt condolences to her family, who have lost a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
The growth of air travel since 1945 made her the first UK monarch to regularly reach around to world to the countries of the Commonwealth and others. The messages of sympathy that are now coming in show the high regard in which she was held. RIP ma’am, you will never be forgotten.
